How come old school hip hop heads have such an affinity for house music? Why does the dubstep and trap scene hold the turntablism community in such high regard? Music is full circle, and if you do not keep your ears open then you risk losing a big chunk of enjoying it to the max. Just because a DJ loves the crackle of a dirty drum break does not mean he cannot appreciate the punch of a thick 808 coupled with a soulful synth melody. Music is powerful and we all look to it for an emotion that evokes something in us -- you do not feel the same way during every waking moment, so your daily soundtrack does not have to reflect as such. Soul exists everywhere. Here is a part of mine.
