New talents are giving way to nostalgic tones. Take Trombone Shorty, who has injected the traditional sounds of New Orleans with bigger and badder knock while remaining true to the tried and tested tastes of the city. Consider The Black Keys, who did not necessarily incorporate any new rock methodologies but instead embellished upon the existing elements that everyone already loves about the genre and melded them all into one magnificent mixture. In either case, it is evident that music as a whole, regardless of genre, is Under New Order. So how fitting that a group of the same name, comprised of Suave, April "Lox Lane" Kindell, Marty "Styx" Kindell, Bill Greencloud and BaBa Charles, have come together as a catalyst for creativity, conceiving some of the best jazz/funk/soul fusion around and leading the charge of what's next. Give these guys/gals a listen and keep an eye peeled for the Summer debut, Seasons.
