Shortly after Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005, we had an opportunity to participate in a benefit concert featuring several noteworthy artists from Minneapolis, including Desdamona and Heiruspecs, and hosted by I Self Devine. Having been fans since his Dynospectrum days, of course we were elated. Yet chatting with him for the few minutes we did provided an amazing insight into how humble he is, which, in turn, made us even more fascinated with the message within his music.
With that being said, in preparation for his upcoming album, The Sounds of Low Class America (due in May), he is set to give away one EP each month until its release, the first of which is LA State of Mind. Also, be sure to check the trailer for the series below:
