Back in May we received an email asking us to give MM/R a listen, and although well-intended, the project got lost in the vortex that is our inbox. Until now. In our efforts at spring cleaning we had a chance to revisit the note, and we have to admit that we should have given dude a feature far earlier. Praised by highly respected artists such as Phonte and 9th Wonder, Vandalyzm is in a class of his own in terms of St. Louis artists in that he does not sound the same as many other acts coming out of that particular area of the Midwest. But that is the best part. He captures the essence of St. Louis, then matches that with the production cadence of Flying Lotus and 14kt, and Black Spade even makes an appearance.
