Dennis Coffey: Outer Galaxies (Re-Worked) [Album]

Funk and soul guitarist Dennis Coffey (a Motown legend), is famous for his performances on several hit records such as War, Could Nine and Someday We'll Be Together, and is also well-known for his score of Black Belt Jones, the classic Blaxploitation film. However, he is revered by the hip-hop community for Scorpio, the instrumental sample heard on close to 20 tracks, including (but not limited to) Mos Def's Universal Magnetic, Roni Size's Share The Fall, The Fugees' The Score, and Rage Against The Machine's Renegades Of Funk. Now, as a testament to the pioneer, several artists have re-worked his Outer Galaxies album to celebrate and educate those unfamiliar with his work.
